The boys in red will have a tall task on its hands as Nappanee is also in the final, and the black and red have been rolling.
Sunday’s first game had Nappanee reach the finals with a 17-7 win over Oak Hill. Nappanee, which outscored North Miami and New Paris by a combined 26-7 margin in its first two games, will have to be beaten twice by Plymouth Monday night in the double elimination format to not win the title.
Plymouth won its first game Sunday by a 10-0 blanking of New Paris to knock New Paris from the tournament, then came back in the final game of the day and knocked out Oak Hill, 11-1.
The matchup between Nappanee and Plymouth will begin (weather pending) at 6 p.m. tonight at the Pierceton youth league. Should Plymouth win the 6 p.m. game, the next game would start at 7:45 p.m. for all the marbles.
